Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

Mileage would be good for context.
Do they take an average and is that how it is displayed on the graph?
Thanks.
Mileage was 107K for a pretty clean inside and out, silver on black. The graph comes from the Edmunds Appraisal Report that you can generate at the end of their appraisal process. I do not know the source or the process on how they arrive at these figures.

Man I would love that info to source a 16+ LX, wife test drove one and felt it was quicker, felt smaller than our 16LC. So now she wants to get rid of her 14LS for one. So I'm on the hunt for a low mileage blue and Cabernet.
I should clarify this was all LC, not LX. 16 LX prices are below. You will see there is a pretty significant savings on LX vs LC, at least at auction. Cancellation of 300 series coming to US definitely seems to be a driver in maintaining these.

Not purchase price related, but dealer related. It's not that easy, at least to do it legally. Have to actually get the license, make sure your property is zoned properly, carry insurance, research each vehicle, be prepared for scams and shady actions by the auction employees and other dealers, the vehicle is NEVER 100% as described, actually go get it (truck and trailer or pay to have it delivered), dealing with the idiot general public when selling, keep up with dealer plates, and maintaining the license. It's not all rainbows.
Namely I want it so I can casually have a small personal supply vehicles and avoid paying sales tax every time I buy a new one and flip every 6 months, no way I would ever want to actually be a dealer. But too much hassle and headache to really make it worthwhile, complex space.

Most, if not all states make it very difficult for hobbyists to play in the dealer space, requiring fleet coverage insurance, size requirements for facilities (typically 15-20 display spaces plus 5 customer spots), minimum operating hours of ~30 that your doors are open with ADA approved restrooms, office space requirements, strict zoning, signage etc., seems like it is a lot like regular work to save a few tax dollars.

Also this guy is not currently taking new customers, so sorry to all those thirsty on prices seeing these auction prices. Kind of crazy how much info the auctions have in terms of inspections / condition ratings. Opened my eyes a bit on the whole backside of how dealers sourced vehicles pre COVID. If only I had some commercial property so I could get a cheap dealers license and spin through vehicles quickly...
Would you happen to have this info for 18-21 LCs? In the market and this could help when chatting with dealers. If not, no worries!

They'll either hold on to them longer or 'trap trade' them with another dealer who has like inventory. Both dealers will pay one another inflated values to cover their losses and buy themselves another retail cycle. The price fall has already started. I saw a 2010 LX570 with 150K list at $24,500. Even at that price it took two weeks to sell. You just won't see dealers suddenly slash prices on aged inventory. It'll factor into how they bid new trade-ins or new auction purchases.

Take those MMR listings with a grain of salt, too. Anything under a 4.3 condition is pretty suspect and any outliers above that condition probably had announcements.

@golfinz

Like OneManArmy says, these are a really loose range of value and not necessarily representative of what a car would actually sell for, gotta add in the auction fee, the shipping fee, some repairs/maintenance, detailing, etc so probably $3-5K in just sheer costs to get onto the floor. Plus then they add their margin. I can pull some newer data later this week. MY21s are nuts right now.

If we live in a country where the price of vehicles appreciate each year, I then agree, but we are in a country where a price of a car drops by about $5000 as soon as the wheels hit a paved road. I bought my LC 2000 after 16 years of manufacture for $5000 with 220K miles (1 owner West TX vehicle). A 2008 LC by now have hit 15 years so with 220K miles, and with a "bit" of inflation, I will be looking around $6500 to 7000 max.

Yesterday, I saw a video done by Scotty Kilmer stating Chevy have started giving incentives for their pickup trucks now!

You unfortunately won't find a 2008 LC with 220k miles for 7k. Just not happening in today's world. 60 and 80 series prices are out of control too.

If you find one for that price range it's probably clapped out with rust.

MY21s are nuts right now.
I was offered 94.5 for my 21HE with 19.5k miles on it by carmax. Decided to hold on to it as I try and decide if getting a Rivian R1S and a FJZ75 Troopy are worth it over just the 21HE.

See what carvana will offer you. Maybe they'll liquidate and you can buy it back and pocket the cash.

Yup, don't think that is happening. You have to keep in mind as LC age the depreciation curved flattens quiet a bit. Also, in regard to prices being out of control, I'd say the ratio of private sellers listing at book values is around 20 to 1 from what I've seen. Mostly I see private sellers listing at above dealer prices and this just means they don't mind keeping the truck if no one bites.

This is what I've observed from my months of searching.

I suspect it is often because the owner does not really want or need to sell. I also think that indebted owners are slow to face the music of what it's worth vs what they owe.

The only two 08-11 on CG listed privately.

good stuff @ageslurkin. I still keep track of 2016+ in my area, it looks like decent priced samples are still selling in about 2-4 weeks. This is where i think multiple owner, accident samples stay around for a bit longer. there's a few on autotrader 2016+ that have been rentals that are still sticking around

Like seeing that 100k number!

Nice find. How many owners? I really like those flares.
Thanks! I'm 50/50 on the flares.. I think I prefer the clean sides but will wait a bit before I try taking them off. Carfax said 4 but I think the 3rd was a dealer or something because it was only for a couple months.
