Hi
What are the most important hoses I should be changing on the 80? Main radiator hoses don't feel hard or stiff when pressed by hand.

PHH and heater valve tap blew up while off road with AC on and left me stranded a year ago. The clock has 570KM on it and it's 1997 1fz-fe.

I have no history records from the previous owner.

Thanks

Rubber has a 5-10 year working life span this is not limited to hoses, this also includes your Harmonic Balancer. Anything you see that's rubber replace them.

This is a nice picture, but is it really limited to 95-97? I did not know that were cooling system differences with the 93-94-- beyond the radiator at least.

Sorry to possibly derail this thread.

I'm no expert, but those sure look like the same hoses as on my '94.

The main difference between the '93/'94 & '95+ is the heater pipe that runs along the passenger side of the valve cover. The early version had to contend with the PAIR whereas the later version was just a straight pipe.

Makes sense when I read your explanation. I moved to the later '95+ hard line, hose and throttle cable mount when I ditched the Pair system.

air intake hose is a good idea too if its still original.

Tough lesson to learn, but I guess I was lucky as to where the HB failed
