Chrome thingy
Funny you should ask. That was one of the first things I asked when I looked at it. It is not hooked up to anything as far as I can tell. Possibly for a PTO or something? The original owner was a cowboy rancher type and he may have had it hooked up to something for farm use. Not too sure myself. It does get a lot of attention though and looks kind of cool doing nothing.

I think the chrome shifter is for a hone-o-drive OD, maybe fairey, I cant recall but I have seen them before.

Thanks for the info. I'll look into that. I really am curious as to what it was used for. It is safety wired in the position you see in the picture.

Now that you mention it, I do think its some weird overdrive thing. There is reference in the Forum about people seeing these.
