Wow. Wanna undercoat my body? You have good practice now :D

Looks really good. Can't wait!

hell yea buddy.....
impressive shots of the flex you have. The rotisserie looks like the s*** to have for that job. Even the kids are helpin out with the BFE....man he looks excited to smack something with that hammer!

Now Johnny, might want to tell them how much rust you found on my old rig. Few dents yes but how much rust ?

I should done that while I had the chance.... Looks good!

Absolutely! Garret was having a hell of a time beating on that rocker panel.

Yes, I almost forgot! This body has 0 rust, and by 0 I mean that there was only dust inside the rocker panels, only the factory undercoating on the bottom and only factory paint on the entire exterior, no surface rust. Believe me, we looked at it from all angles!! Could not be more stoked to get this on.

That new body looks great. I bet you can't wait to get everything swapped over.

You didn't happen to get another fuel tank with that body did ya?
I'm looking for a new to me filler neck, mine's got some nice holes in it.

I wish I had a rotisserie when I had my body off. It looks like it made the undercoating process much easier.

Ended up finishing clean up at about 8:20 tonight after a long day in the shop. Got the rockers chopped, got the body prepped, masked and painted. I am SUPER impressed with this Raptor liner stuff. It's real easy to mix and shoot, has great coverage and has great texture. We used 3 bottles to do the bottom and used 4 bottles to do the white. It looks AMAZING! I've got to spray the doors this week so that they're ready to install on Saturday.

Thank you to Mike, Eric and Garrett for coming to help out! A HUGE thank you to Darin for helping and making all of this possible!

Tool of the century; the rotisserie. Made all of this extremely easy.

Next week we will be stripping, prepping and assembling the new body onto my rolling chassis, then dicing up my old body. It will be a lot of work, but it will be a lot of fun!

Good thing i had those offroad tires / kit for it Eh ?

Do you need another fuel tank or another fill neck? I have another neck I believe.

Definitely. Pretty slick how that rotisserie gets a lift so easily!

sweet, soon you will have a new body....looks great

WHAAAAT A SMOKING HOT BODY!! Cant wait to see you bruise it up!
And now is the perfect time to put on a big moonshine sticker.
Maybe you can earn back some of the expenses that way... ;) Add a spare tank and top it of with shine...

looking at that body, i dont know if i am inspired or jealous... Just have to go out in the garage and find out.

It was a little sketchy moving these away right after paint, but it worked decently well.

Spent the day cleaning my HVAC system, building my new doors, putting them on, emptying Moonshine of her typical cargo and lining everything up for the swap tomorrow.

Old and busted vs new hotness

Neighbors gave me funny looks.

Here is the order of operations for tomorrow:
  1. Remove hood and front fenders
  2. Sand and spray hood and front fenders with white Raptor liner
  3. Remove windshield, doors, rear hatch, tailgate and rear quarter windows
  4. Cut off roof at the bottom of the pillars
  5. Drive around the yard for a bit, maybe take a video
  6. Pull the truck into the shop, into the rotary lift
  7. Disconnect fuel lines, brake lines, clutch lines, ebrake cable and rear locker
  8. Unbolt body from frame
  9. Lift old body off of rolling chassis, make sure that everything is disconnected
  10. Roll out rolling chassis
  11. Cut old body up into little pieces, then remove to scrap pile
  12. Load new body onto lift
  13. Roll rolling chassis back under new body
  14. Hook everything back up

The new body and is looking great Johnny. Even through the pictures it's obvious you're putting in quality time. Soon you'll have an almost new-ish truck... but the soul of her former self lives on. Good luck with the body swap and be safe.

I'll feel your pain when you get the first scratch or ding on that new body when it sees its first off road mission.....Im sure once its all together you'll still wheel the s*** out of it like you always do.
Man moonshine is like a different truck. Its been cool watching the transformation over the last couple years....You must be stoked!
