I don't know if this pic helps, but this is one of the slots from 1 1/2 year ago (Oasis) . The tent area was very green and grassy.....just fyi

The only good thing about Slick Rock when we've been out there is that no one hassles you if you need to do noisy repairs on your rig. The cotton if for the birds, as are the caterpillars.

We didn't experience the cottonwood or bugs....maybe just lucky. As for working on rigs, the guys in the picture brought their rigs from Canada and broke them every day they went out and worked on them every night with the other wheelers that busted their stuff....I've stayed at both, and wouldn't worry about either. See ya there!

If you do the overnighter, do you get back in time for the first run on Thursday?

From what I recall from two years ago when I went to CM '07 the over night guys left on Wednesday and returned Thursday afternoon. So you'd miss one of the "normal" days of wheeling. From my buddies here in Wichita that did the overnight run they really enjoyed and wouldn't trade it for a normal trail day.

Got it. I have requested that our Thursday morning run be cancelled, since we will be on the overnighter.

Wendy's on the fence for the trail she'll drive on Saturday but I'll be signing up for Golden Spike Thursday and Pritchett Canyon for Friday. Hopefully she can make up her mind before these trails are closed out.
