I know that use of a 70 series box on a 40 series is probably not as conventional as the use of a 60 series steering box (on a 40 series), but there are people that have made them work on a 40 series with some modifications. The box will sit in front of the cowl and the pitman arm will face backwards (as they do on a 70 series). See attached photo (not my photo, but courtesy of another fellow MUD member).

I assume you don't have this steering box anymore, correct?
