Also Poser called me yesterday and told me he would be mailing out my parts I need to finish my parking brake.... So I put that together... I think I may have to take it apart again to get the clip in that he is mailing me.. not too sure... but at least I figured out how it goes together and it will take me no time to do it again...

chime in if it does not look right....

Got home yesterday about noon... we have not gotten much snow all year... but I come home to about 8" of the stuff.... of course my s***ty snow blower works about one pass down the drive way then dies... so I spent some time shoveling... then I just got sick of that and drove the 4runner up and down the drive way a few times and called it good... :D

went out to the shop and messed around... spent about 2 hours out there... I did get the diffs drained and changed the pinion seals so that is done... dont have time to work on the truck tonight so I will post up again when I do more work...

expecting the engine to be done this week...

sweet man. I wanna see the pics of the finished engine! Mexico looks awesome..Someday I plan to make my way down there....but maybe ill steer away from the tacos.

When in doubt driving the car over the driveway always is nice...probably the fastest way to make an ice rink in your driveway!

Good lookin' aircleaner;)

Ed

just the guy I wanted to talk to... since you also have Bill's PS brackets I do... can you still use that factory air cleaner????

Maybe with some mods, but not straight-up. Actually I never tried it. But I think not.:frown: That's why I went to a 2F airbox.

I am envious of your trip:flipoff2:

great so I waisted my time.... I was thinking of this the whole time I was doing this... hahaha... well looks like I am looking for a new air box.

you can go to Mexico in my place next time!!! :flipoff2: Think I am staying here in the US from now on...

I been wondering how you clean your parts? You seem to breeze through cleaning alot of stuff whats your process?

I use engine de-greaser first to get the really bad stuff off, then dawn dish soap and hot water... after that I clean it with a wax and grease remover. then paint... the paint does wonders for making it look new... :D

this is if there is not rust, if there is rust you have to sand sand and sand... I use the grinder if I can on thicker metals or I have a bunch of hand sanders but on most of these small parts you will have to do it by hand... no matter how much time I spend on one part I still feel as though I should spend more... like I am taking a short cut... guess that is just me..

hope this helps! :bounce:

Nice Job! Keep posting, I want to see the finished project. Nice Twins at... we are transplanted to Washington but originally from Marshall and Bloomington.... my kids, all four of them, are Twinkies fans!
