Well someone can use the fact that they got all their trucks ( yes trucks) stuck in the snow and We had to spend all day Working on the problems they brought on themselves. :) hey Steve... do u know what I mean. :)

picked up a few things at posers place when I was down there a few weekends ago. new headlights. I wanted a more modern lights that used a regular bulb and were brighter.

Also picked up my compressor and all the odds and ends I need to get installed for ARB lockers. I am planning on putting a rear locker in this year (I hope) so I hope I can get this stuff all installed and have it ready to go for a locker that could happen this winter so it will be ready to go for spring.

got another project going. this is a 1963 skidoo my grandpa bought brand new back in the winter of '62. pic one is my grandpa, dad and myself. Three generations of owners. my dad redid it back in the '80's some time so it is actually in good conditions. just really dirty. we had it sitting under some trees for over 20 years. I remember riding this as a kid. so far I have it taken apart and cleaned up. ski have been blasted and repainted. The rest I just pressure washed and buffed out the hood. carb is at a good friends being rebuilt as we speak. engine is free and I have started it (kind of) currently I need to get that carb bolted back down and a new windshield made. more pics to come as the progress moves on.

mainly just been riding my new sled as much as I can so progress is going to be slow because of that :)

this is where I plan on mounting the compressor..... do any of you guys who have done this see any problems with the location. I would have to make some sort of bracket to make it work in this location. just seems like a logical place because it is open and also easy to get to.

if it is difficult to see it is on the pass. side fender where the old coil used to sit. before we installed the fj60 junk.

been a really cool weekend.... it is the old sled ride and show in pequot lakes,mn... my dad and I were there... it has been a roller coster ride the last 2 weeks.... last saturday we were at a friends house working on the 62 and the engine blew up...... go to hand it to my friend RUFUS...... he found us an engine so my dad and I drove last sunday a few hours one way and got that. RUFUS and I got it all installed and running.... had a few clutch isues that we have figured out.. my dad was on my 07 skidoo and followed me downtown (about 3 miles) thing rode great... we made it for some of the ride and mostly made it for all the photo opps... as we were on the way the exhaust broke to pieces.... :-) not good... the good thing is we were like 1/4 mile from my shop... so we towed it home and brought the pipe to the guy who made my landd cruiser exhaust and he got it all fixed up for us...... we are currwntly working on making not one... but two smokers that my dad has wanted to make for a while but we never had time..... it is cold as *%uck here... see the temp... tom. is the actual show in the park with the old sleds. so I will have lots more pics to post... saw some very nice old rides today........ here are a few pics....

for you guys who dont undersand how cold -20 plus below....

I didnt wear a helmet cause top speed on the 63 is only 20 mph... by the time I got there... my eye lashes were frozen... I had to take my hand to warm them up to melt the ice over my eyes cause I could hardly blink any more... but the air cooled engines run great at that temp :-)

and no... I am not kidding!!!!

Reminds me of MI just prior to me moving from that state to Washington. We had 17 straight days of below zero for a high and fought a house fire for 13 hours at -38. that sucked. Don't miss that crappy weather at all.

My parents had an old skidoo from '73 that worked for seemed like a couple of hours before it sat in teh garage for 10+ years until we sold it. Yours looks pretty cool.

went to the show today... lots of really cool sleds... it again was very damn cold.... like -17 during the shlow... we ended up not brining our sled and just went hanging out....
