Mini ratchet @ Sears

Hey all

For about $10 I picked up a great little tool at Sears.
It is nothing more than the head of a ratchet handle. about 2" in diameter, round, with a diretion knob. 3/8" square drive.

I don't know about the rest of you- but I often drive myself nuts trying to spin out nuts/bolts by hand because I can't really get clearance for a ratchet handle.

This is small enough to fit, but big enough to get ahold of.

Great little tool that would make a super stocking-stuffer.

harbor freight sells a set of 3 different sizes for all of $3 right now. $3!!! isn't that amazing...! China for you....

Nothern Tools has a 1/4 ratchet with a 2 inch handle. Cheap. Don't have a link. Saw it yesterday in Chattanooga, TN.

Cool, but why does it need to ratchet?

that way, when you are reaching back somewhere that you can barely get to/see, and your hands are greasy, you don't have to *let go* of the darn thing... you can just crank it while keeping pressure on the nut to keep it from bouncing off into never-never land

oh, and it's cooler that way

I think they also sell shorty ratcheting wrenches.

Damn...a month or so ago I tried to buy that same thing at sears. It didn't have a price on it and when I brought it to the register, with the intention of buying it, they rang it up at 19.95!! I promptly asked them to go ahead and keep it! I guess it has gone down in price!
