Has anyone installed one of these and can provide some real world pictures of how it fits? I like what I see on their site but someone's 45 with the top on would be nice, access to the windshield latches, closeness of the a-pillar post to the front door opening with seats installed would be great. Thanks!

Peter,

Nice to see you here, been a while, bought an f engine from you years ago.
Only thing I can add is my old green goblin 45 had a custom cage and my tank was under the bed. Very hard to do a 4 point with the stock tank. The filler is the main issue.

Cheers,

Whitey

Hi Whitey, That seems like a lifetime ago, that's gotta be 15 years ago! Finally back working on this thing, trying to fix everything a stupid younger version of myself did to this beautiful rig. The tank is the issue obviously. Where did you have the filler neck on the green truck?

X2 on the custom cage mated to the frame. External tank, and removed the filler on mine. Plus FC Fabs shaved part of the dash so the front verticals are straight shot to the floor.

The problematic area is the gas filler neck on the tank and the connection from the tank to the body. I wonder if just notching the corner of the stock/rare gas tank and move the filler neck to another area on the tank is enough. For refilling, just open the passenger door and pump directly into the tank.

Please tell us more about your truck! do you have a build thread? Did you build that cage? I'm digging those steps and rocker protection too. Did you build a tank for under the bed? Where is the filler?

A Fellow Mudder Miker built the truck, the build is a great read 1964 FJ45 LB "RB1" build. I have added the new roll bar, front bumper and winch/LED light, back bumper, Stockton 16" wheels with vintage hubs, s pod system, ARB comp with air chuck. Building steel half doors are the current project. Puts a smile on me every time I drive it. Here are some topless photos!
