Ordered just now. I know i'm gonna hear it from the wife, but like the saying goes, "easier to ask for forgiveness, than to ask for permission"

She's gonna kill me.

well she is ready to receive the sliders I ordered... and now we both have to play the waiting game.

Just ordered a raw set of opors off metaltech's website using the discount code. $109 shipped to Tacoma Wa.

I’m so very tempted. I’ve got my 2006 lx470 we’re towing behind our Motorhome, heading up the Oregon coast. I’ll be an hour away from metal tech... but Ill be putting them on my new 2006 lx back home and will be selling my current lx. Will it be worth carrying them around with me for the next 2months and 5k miles?? im trying to convince myself it will be...

"In-store pick up" is the way to do it for sure! Also for any of the Local Pick-Ups that end up with $0 in shipping so if/when we create the $100 shipping credits they would not really get anything. SO we will be issuing $100 discount codes for future use. These are for any "in-store pickups".

Make sure they have them in stock before you head to MT to pick it up. With so many orders from this GB, they usually built them after they have the orders. Mine took a month from the previous GB before I got a shipping notification.

We pre-built over 40 sets of raw and 20 sets of Powder Coated Hundos just for this sale. (also 20 sets of 200s!) So far every order we have got for 100's (as in all the early order people), are getting their sliders shipping!

I checked the shipping quote this morning.

There was about $100 difference in shipping quotes for the OPOR bare steel vs. MT powder coated sliders. Strange since I would think they'd have the same size and weight specs

Metal-tech 4x4 officially recommends always buying sliders raw and painting them locally. We provide powder coated ones out of convenience, as they are asking for on a regular basis. We do not do in house powder coating so we have to rely on vendors to provide this service.

Matt, huge difference it how the powder coated and non-powder coated sliders ship. In order for the powder coated ones to arrive with no damage, each side ships in its own custom double walled box. That box ads about 7 lbs. BUT its the dimensional size that makes UPS us "DIM weight" and they cost considerably more. Truck freight honestly is usually the best way to go.

Few pages back I provided all the weights and dimensions. ANYONE that has their own way of shipping that they wish to us, not a problem. We have no dog in the shipping fight. Just check out as will call pick up, then send us your pre-paid labels and we will get them moving. We do this any time of year. Usually, someone who works in the shipping industry and they can get a better rate than ours.

Official Count: 36 orders! Everyone has a min a 15% discount (credited after the sale)

ONLY 14 away from hitting the 50 and getting the $100 shipping credits applied.

@Slashzero @100club

So when you say credited after the sale is that for the additional 5%?

Yes, its actually of the full price as 15% so it's actually more than just 5%. We do all the price adjustments at the end of the sale this way its one time. We are also expecting it to go over 50 orders so everyone is also probably looking at a $100 shipping credit going against whatever their shipping costs are.

14 away! Woohoo! Thanks for the updates, @helocat!

Mine are scheduled for delivery on Tuesday May 7. I am looking forward to painting these and installing them.

At this rate I will have rear and front bumpers plus new suspension and a snorkel some time next year.

Boxed GX470 Powder coated sliders for stock (we have raw ones too). On the shelf behind them, you can see one of the 6 pallets of raw 100 Series sliders for stock. All welded by Andy and Dustin over the past months. Packed by Mickie and Cory. We actually do make these things by hand in our shop here in Oregon.

We have a large number of sliders shipping today for those who ordered early. We are well past the number needed so everyone is now 15% off. (all checkouts now will show 10% but the difference will be refunded after the sale ends on the 15th) Sooo close to hitting the 50 and everyone getting $100 in shipping credits.

I am about to place an order today.
