Thanks Paul. I don't feel so bad, except when Mike makes fun of me.:steer:

We've begged. We've pleaded. We've offered $$ and help and sexual favors.... anything to get you off your lazy a$$ and get that thing back on the trail.

Nothing has worked so now it is verbal/written harassment. :D

OK Rudy - My 40 may have seats mounted, but at least your engine is in the engine compartment (not in the garage) and yours appears to be sitting on tires/wheels (not sitting in the garage) - it doesn't look so bad...

The scariest part of that is that you can get a new set of plug wires for those for like $15 or $20. Makes you wonder what else was skimped on

You didn't notice the block of 4x4 wood to mount the roll bar.

I say close that evil book and open up a new 80 chapter...resto is for rich people.

Hard to do cuz I still like the 40's. Learned a lot fixing things on it. I'm not doing a major resto, but want to get her road worthy again.

Paul,

I didn't mean for anyone to take this as a comparison of who's 40 needs more work. I was refering to Jon getting harrassed about the time lapse on his. I know it is not that bad but for it to be sitting in the garage that long when that close shuld be a sin. Not looking for sympathy, cuz I know I have been lazy about finishing it.

No Worries Rudy - I was also just jumping on the bandwagon to tease Jon and make a pretty good prediction that my project will be lucky to see some dirt under the tires before I need new tires due to dry-rot...:o In actuality I am hoping everyone gets their rigs done before mine, so I can see which pieces go where:bang:
BTW Greg, which brand of duct tape seems to work the best?

I thought about jumping on the band wagon, but I can't cuz my 40 has been collecting dust for too many years. If any HDC members needs parts for a 40 let me know. I can look through my collection. Most parts are for the early years. When my brother bought his '69 they left the rear full of parts. I have a couple thirds and other engine parts, gas tank or two but no body parts. Will have to look and see what is good. If you find that little green man, let me know.
