Thanx! I got the motor from Tilden motorsports and the transmission from Best Buy transmissions out of Florida. When you talk to them about your engine they'll ask you what all you want it to do. What I mean is things like air, smog, and other things I'm just not remembering at the moment. It was truly a plug and play set up. There were only 7 wires off of the engine harness I had to wire up: tach, speedometer, fan, key on power, oil, fuel pump, and one other that is slipping my mind. I have a Dakota Digital cluster and the wiring with the engine harness made it a snap. I also have a ididit steering column which also made wiring easy with the Dakota Digital. The chassis harness was from Spector, but it looked exactly like one from Painless. There were a lot of wires on the Painless harness I found I didn't need because the engine harness went directly into the Dakota Digital junction box....I can't stress how much easier it made things.
I tried to match the original capri blue from my local paint shop and that's what they came up with....it's a little darker than it should be, but I really like the way it came out.

Thanks for the information. I went immediately to the Tilden Motorsport website and they appear to have some really nice packages (phrasing!).
I have to say, though, I a little disappointed you didn't go for the 700HP Supercharged 427. :)

Lol! I would say that’d be a bit overkill in a 40.

Got the soft top on today from Julie via Trollhole....I LOVE the way it looks on there!

Lol, that’s a good way to describe it.

Did you make or purchase your air intake I like it and was wondering I need to redo my 6.0 air intake.

Thanks

Billy
Hi Billy,
I bought a bunch of intake parts (bends and straights) and starting playing around with different combinations until I found what I liked. Sent what I didn't use back. Fabricated the bracket that connects it using the same bolt as the coil pack. I did a different set up on my 45 resto mod. Not as complicated and it didn't need to fab up a bracket.
