Me and my FJ62 are in Big Pine,CA for a month. Where do I go?

I have done a New Years Eve trip the last few years over the route in Post #8, except exiting out of the southern end of Saline, ewither via Lippencott or South PAss.

When snow on South Pass, seems some jack ass slides out and blocks the road. Bring enough fuel in case you need to back track to Lippencott or Steele

Hit me up if you decide to go and want some company!
It looks like there's a good chance this trip is going to happen!

The plan is to spend a few days at the springs. If everything goes right, I'll be gassing-up in Big Pine on the 26th, then heading in via (north pass) Saline Valley rd. Company is certainly welcome.

Cool! It will be good to have an extra truck along with us.

Here's some scenes from the trail.

Hey John, I just got back from this trip today, never heard back from the OP, so not sure of his whereabouts.

My next trip to DV may not be until May, I can keep you posted if you want

@landcrshr Yes sir keep me posted on when you are headed back, I have some co workers that might go as well if that's ok.
I'm starting to work on the 60 again to get it back on the road since i had a non-op on it now for about a 1.5 years just installed a new battery then the starter froze today. To the OP let us know if we can all make this happen, I'm exited already (No wife, no kids).

Hey @SIZZLE if your not busy let's go.

Hey Guys!
Had a crazy week with work, my daughters birthday and family deciding to come and visit.
But!
I did manage to get to Death Valley for a day and a half. Absolutely Amazing...

Lipponcot was a little more challenging than I expected but a ton of fun.
I was amazed that even in the dark around 10PM people were still coming down the Lipponcot pass to get to the hot springs.
The road back down from the race track to the crater was incredible.

This is where I slept, somewhere between Lipponcot and the Saline Warm Springs.
Just to many people at the Hot Springs for my taste.

Took a bit to find the right washboard speed. The car held together well.

Looks like I'll be here in Big Pine for another month or so!
Next trip, I'll take the more eastern side through the Eureka Dunes and head down south more.

@FJ Silver glad you had a safe trip, Lippincott is a wild trail! And Saline valley road has its dangers too, a couple of rollovers after the road was graded! Slow and steady wins the race.

Thanks! Yeah I went very slow and steady over lipponcott...

Looks like you went about as slow/fast as I went when I was there last year May. I shredded a tire just after the section you show in the video. Had to drive a bit more to find a slightly flat area to change a tire. Quite an adventure. Thank goodness I was going up, would not wanna do that coming down hill.

Oh man that must have nerve racking...
There are some sharp rocks there for sure. I kept my tires pretty hard since traction wasn't an issue and the sidewalls on the General Grabbers aren't that tough.
