Glad Makenna is going to be okay. Been a long time since I have to go thro this directly. My son had seizures when his was a couple years old. He turns 33 next month. Guess the only up side of the run was cell phone service was there every time I checked.
Here is a picture of the rock Alvis was standing from a different angle.
Not sure why but the cruisers gods seem to be against me getting my 89 out on a run.
After leaving the valley after 4:30 Friday afternoon I got started putting the muffler in after 7:00, it was then I realized my keys were in the valley.
First thought was it wasn't meant to be. Then I thought while a long shot I could throw some camping gear in the Sequoia and head back to the valley and get my 4Runner ready to go. All I can say was I glad I did. It was a fantastic run. I would still be kicking myself if I had missed. While disorganized I'm glad I made the decision to stay and camp after the run. Had a great time getting to better know some of the members of CSC. Just a great group of people. All the kids were well behaved which is always nice to see. I do think Brices123 deserves some kind of award for the six of them in one vehicle and hauling the trailer behind. Thank you again @Pitch (Eric and Tanya) for a great run I had a wonderful time and look forward to seeing you in the high country again. Still up for a run from the 260 out of Camp Verde up to the top of the rim later in the summer once the monsoon is in full swing.
Just a few pictures from the old camera. With all the quality camera gear hoping to see some great pictures posted of the view from the campsite.
