May Long Weekend wheeling ideas.

The head count was around 15 or so. I'll put together a description of the meeting in the next couple of days and send it out to those absent.
It looks like Steve Tetu and his daughter are coming up the Squamish Whistler route and you and Chris are welcome to join us. Steve will decide what time to meet Friday morning at Troll's in Horseshoe Bay after you talk to him. I think Derek and Jim will go going via the Fraser Canyon. We might be meeting a new member in Squamish also.

Looks like I will be driving to Calgary on Monday, so no long weekend for me. Due to the time restraints, the girls, the dog and I will be heading to Big Silver for Friday and Saturday night. If anyone is interested in an overnighter, we will be there.

Phil

Phil, I might meet up with you if I can't make the club run. One night is better then nothing

Re the campsite, it is approx 12 km south of the wooden bridge on the WEST side of the Fraser River. So you cross the bridge to the Gang Ranch side, then turn south and keep the river on your left for approx 12 Km. Hopefully, Barry will find it and mark the site for those who follow.

Well, now my wife informs me she has a fair she's participating in on Sunday. She thought it was on Monday. Things aren't boding well for this long. Maybe I'll put down the hardwood floor instread... boring
Phil

Phil,
Don't get discouraged, just think of hardwood flooring as a fun project. Just make truck noises, and pretend you are out wheeling your truck!
Cheers,
Deny
PS. If you want boring, try working for the government and waiting a whole day for a supervisor to email you some work. Man that day went slow!

Hey Everybody,
How was BIG BAR?
Us Northerners (Charla, friend Haylie and Me), Albertan (Bruce), Southerner (Greg), and 4 legged friends (Cody and Prado) had a great time at the Quesnel Canyon Crawl. First off the NorthCarribouOffRoad people are a really great bunch, and they sure put their time in to hold an outstanding event. The history in the area is an added bonus, as you climb through abandoned mining equipent and old log houses. The Canyon is really nice, as is the old wagon path/hairy trail through the canyon. There was more mud than expected, but was really fun to play around in. Also was nice to see three other cruisers up there(edit-7 in total-edit), and man, it's swampers or bust up there, as the PG guys sure like their mud!
Anyway just wanted to put that out, just incase others are considering doing this event in the future, and want to know how big bar went.
Cheers,
Deny

Hi Deny...Got home at around 02:30 last night. Yes, it was fun! Hats off to the NCOA...

Need pics. I did not have a camera, so if you or Charla have any...

Ya we got in to Moberly around 12:00, so they convinced me to sleep there, then drive to FSJ in the morning. I am glad I did, because eventhough I was not tired, my eyes were, and needed rest, especially with so many deer and Moose on the road, I didn't want to risk it.
Will do with the picks, but I only have a few, and I don't think any of your poo wagon, but I will talk to charla.
Cheers,
Deny

That's ok...any digital you have will do. It's more for the memories, and filing then Poo.

I put in my film to get developed, and I also got them to put it on cd, so I can send you all the pictures, and yes, I think I might have one of the poo wagon when I took a picture of camp :)
Cheers,
Deny
I'll send them when I get them, and might even post a few cool ones up here.

Yes, Poo was choosen, and Poo did well...Poo stayed out of the deep holes. Poo actually stayed at camp one day, as I did not feel like driving. Poo broke the left side engine rubber, as did a SOA BJ60 that was there. Both got temp fix's and both fixes worked...or rather...are still working.

Wrong tires for that country, but did not matter.

Thanks for the quick writeup Deny...

Here is a link to some pictures from the Pres of HOT...: http://www.hot4x4.ca/gallery/album267

Lets try a pic here of camp.

(having problems, will try again later)
