headin to the barn today....I've been busy with that work thing for the past few days and havent been able to hang with Bullwinkle.
Rear bumper is todays project as well as finding a GM A/C hose so I can have the ends put on the toyota A/c hoses.

Oh Joy!

I haven't been able to follow the thread much this week because of work, we're installing a different kind of steel (well, same kind of steel, this is just a little brighter):

If you're in Provo this Friday (I know, who wouldn't want to be, right?) come by the Museum for our opening!

Got some work done on the bumper. I also cut out some new shackles with a buddies plasma cutter....man those are so nice for cutting. I want to get rid of the old gas torch now...
Heres some progress pics as we all like pics, right?
The first few are just getting the hitch set in place.

Also got the tire mount in place. Its on the passenger side and the drivers side will receive a 1 1/2" tube ladder with a military can behind it. Jake helped come up with that idea...and I like it.

Stay tuned for that one. simply genius!

I also threw on the old OEM steelie with a 235 on it for some bling while I test fitted. Oh and the side wall is blown out on it too.... Its a perfect spare.:hillbilly:

And one more...
We kept the spare running at the same angle as the rear window. Having a bit of angle will help in the ass drag potential. This rig really has improved in the departure angles. I really have taken to the lines it has now.

I cant wait to see it in passing on the trail and on the road.

Staying tuned...and picking up way too many 'must do' mods from this thread :)

Love the idea for matching the angle of the rear hatch with the spare tire. Is it that high based on the size of treads that Bullwinkle will be running?

Heres a taste of the ladder system with the gas tank secured behind it..... It is far from finished but you can get the idea of where i am headed with this.

I also used these snap lock latches for the gates...I wish I found these years ago. These are really slick and secure very well. They are also really easy to use too.

It is high for that reason. Once a 33 or 35 is on there, it will clear the rig and leave the lights in clear view as well as the plates too.

Plus it looks more pleasing to the eye as well. And thats a great reason for doing a Mod isnt it.....
"MarkW says it is."

Markw says it is!!!!???!!!! I almost fell out of my chair. Seriously. Wow. Where's the tip jar? That was great! Is the tip jar near your lamp by the toolbox?

I finished up welding the ladder and im just sanding it down to remove the burs and high spots. I should have this bumper and gates finished up by the weekend.
Its been tough trying to finish this as I have started working another job full time.
should have her buttoned up soon though.

here is some shots of the rear bumper and gates so far....getting close. Just needs some prime and paint. Im diggin the gates and bumper. I also need to get the rear corner protection built too.
