Hi Everyone,

I can't really find good info on the difference in what it included in different gear packages. For instance, the price difference between e-locker and no e-locker is significant. Nitro shows two gear kits and about all I can tell is that some shims are different.

Does anyone know why the difference?

Thanks.

I would get in touch with the guys @justdifferentials I'm sure they will have the answers you are looking for!

I believe the e-locker set has one larger and kinda odd ball carrier bearing, maybe that has something to do with it?

Exactly right, if we're talking about the front axle. The rear E-locker axle has larger carrier bearings than the non-locker version too.

In general, any Master Install Kit will have, at minimum: carrier bearings, pinion bearings, pinion seal, pinion nut, pinion shims.

Depending on application and completeness of kit, it may also include carrier shims, pinion shims or crush sleeve, ring gear bolts, gear marking compound and brush, loctite, RTV, front axle oil seals.

It's the carrier bearings, which are huge in the locker version and non-standard. In the non-locker version, that carrier bearing is used in dozens of applications, and so is more widely available and cheaper.
