Does anyone here know if the Marlin ToyBox shifter is different from a stock Toyota truck transfer case shifter?

Mark

Actually I meant the part from the top of the TC down... the lever above and the knob are not relevant. I am looking to prototype a relocation mechanism for a Marlin ToyBox shifter and wanted to source a couple of shifters I could hack up...

This is their "bent" offset shifter... a modified Toyota truck TC shifter?

Interested to see what your cooking up Mark.
I'll be working out "shifting" soon , as my dbl'd 4runner is well underway.

This is the basic thought:

What's this going in? There is a thread in the hardcore section "Triple stick shfters", you'll have to search for it. Check it out if you haven't seen it already.

I may have seen it.. I'll look again.

I would like to find a solution of this nature as well.

I want a doubler, but I don't want to lose my Ranger seats.

The only issue I've read is that they get in the way of the trans shifter, but that's only if you have a forward shift T-case. However I believe some have found a way around that.

Just sent Rory (see the Pirate thread) an email asking about the gizmo that sits on top of the ToyBox (Mini transfer case)... maybe that will speed up the process for me as that is the most unknown part for me.

Are you running dual mini cases? I thought you were doing a Toybox/Splitcase for some reason.

I am: H55<>ToyBox<>Split TC

I thought his mechanism might offer some insight into a good method to attach to the top of the TC and adapt to the remote lever.

Ok, now I see what your trying to do. Are you going to cut another hole in the trans hump just behind the shifter? I've got an H41-Toybox-Split TC and have already made my own twin sticks for the splitcase. I've been wondering how to do the Toybox shifter. The one in the triple sticks Mud thread has some bad angles, but I bet that could be worked out.

As far as what you're planning, I'm pretty sure the pic of the mini triple is just some modified stock shifter bases. It is designed to work the rear case since there are 2 shift forks in it (2wd,4wd-hi,lo). Since we only have 1 fork in in the Toybox (hi,lo), I think your original idea would work just fine.

I like your idea btw.
