Ok, I have sourced them close to home with your pic. I'll hope the price is close, at least I have a marker to work with.
If you bolted the spindles in, then I'm really interested. I've been driving 3 yrs without a spare, but have a long trip planned, so
now needed. But I don't believe in carrying the weight always. What ever you have done will be an inspiration for me.
I'll look up that steam/air vent. Not ever seen one before, is it a GM part?

The late, but here are the promised pictures of how the spindles attach to the bumper.

Installed some very nice heated and powered seats from a Land Rover… This was not a simple swap, and I am not sure I would recommend then unless you could get the seats at a very good price, I did, and I love them. They make the 5 and 6 hour drives feel like an hour in the old seats. I mounted the power seat switches in the tuffy console.

I didn’t care much for the aftermarket cold air system so I decided to go back to original FJ62 filter.. I still need to re-paint the air filter housing.

Started on a rear storage box, to keep all of my gear in. I came real close to purchasing either ARB or Tuffy boxes, but at $1000+ I thought I would see what I could do. I used glue and pocket screws to put the frame together. It really turned out much stronger than I thought it would. Very pleased with it..

Since it is supposed to rain AGAIN this weekend I hope to get started on building the drawers. I have already ordered and received 2 very nice sets of 36” HD drawer slides. I will post pictures when I get them.

It has been for a little over 10 months since I first drove the LC with the L33 in it. I have really enjoyed it. I have put over 23000 miles on it, and look forward to putting many, many more on it.

Wow, you are getting it done! Looks really good, nice sliders and woodwork. Those are nice looking seats,
comfort is always worth the effort.
Can't thank you enough for the swing out pics. Did you keep the bronzembushing in the lower cup with the lock screws?
I get home in a week, and start my own madness. J

No bronze bushing in the lower cup.. Not need the set screws keep the spindle from moving. The bushings are in the swingarms...

Really nice! Couple of quick questions. Were those sliders custom ordered? What didn't you like about the cone air filter?

Yes the sliders were custom... I let Ryan at Sniperworks do whatever he wanted.. I this is what I got... Love them..

Sorry, forgot about the air filter question.. There were a few things.. I didn't like the fact that I had to oil the filter.. I didn't like that the filter was exposed and could get water in it.. And finally, the intake temps were higher than I like.. They are lower now...

Update – 06/18/15

Mirror glass replacement – Recently the driver’s side mirror glass fell out of the mirror and broke. Ordered one off of ebay, perfect match to the original as far as I can tell.

Rear storage cabinet-- Drawers

Used a straight edge to keep the cuts straight, worked well.

Replace the rear side panels… This allowed me to install cleats to support the outer floor pieces.

Your work looks great as usual.

I like that you switched to the 62 air box. I've heard negative feedback from other Vortec swappers that the cone filters/CAI's are problematic. I scored a used HJ60 air box that I'll be using in mine.

Keep it coming!
