March 8th Chiva Falls Trail Cleanup

The boys and I (along with Trailbus) are camping on the right side (my trailers maiden voyage). We should be able to meet up with the group at some point. If not I will pack out and or put out the usual.

I plan on attending. +1 or 2 depending on who wants to come along...


Any plans to caravan down there from PHX area?
 
We're looking at 70 degrees in Tucson on Saturday. It will be slightly cooler out there, but not much. Bring lots of water and lunch/snacks. The meeting point is the Circle K at 12177 East Tanque Verde Road.

So far we have 5 from CSC attending.

Whose idea was it to schedule this the same weekend as the AZ Beer Festival? Seriousky.
If I get my lil project done and installed on the 80 by this Fri, I'll be there.
Heather's prolly gonna go to the beer fest, tho.

Below was the initial response I receveived back from KGUN9. I did send the update about two weeks ago. I did not hear back so I sent another reminder yesterday. So, we shall see what happens. The news business is a tough gig. If a better story/opp comes up....I can understand. I've asked Jennifer to just let me know.

Alvin, where do you suggest I meet you guys? Last trip I turned on the 4417 road. Looks like I need to go a little further.

Your map isn't right. Thats not where Chiva is. Meet at the parking lot.

Doesn't look like we're gonna get anymore CSC reps.

Leave Circle K at 8:30 sharp.

Your part of your map that labels the Chiva Falls Parking Lot is correct, the location of the falls is not.

I'm looking forward to meeting all you guys Saturday!

Okay so I'll see maybe someone tomorrow @ 8:30 LOL!! my brother in law isnt' making it, but I'm hoping to have a couple fjcers come to help...still up in the air though.

Chiva Cleanup - Great Fun

We rode wih Alvin and his daughter. This was great fun. There were more FJ-40s that turned out this time than any other flavor of Toyota - although one FJ-40 only came to "meet and greet" - so I didn't get a picture of him.

This was a TOR sponsored trip - well run and well attended.

At Chiva Falls entry there was some (minor) carnage - a Jeep flipped over on it's side. No damage to the passengers, and only a bent up fender. Good rigging allowed a rapid recovery.
