@r2m we cruised through San Clemente in the early morning hours on our way south out of LA and headed east for some pie in Julian, a bit early in the day for a beer, but not too early to snag some donuts and a ham & cheese croissant from Surfin' Donuts :P

Since this is now a photo thread until we get back, here's a shot from Joshua Tree NP. For those noticing the trend, yes the PowerBrake BBK puts off much more dust than any of the OEM Toyota/Lexus pad compounds

The following day, I was able to snag this perfect parking spot when we stopped for lunch in Prescott... I had to chuckle a bit, but I don't think the owner noticed my license plate :P

Ha-ha! Great choice for breakfast! Surfin' Donuts is our "go-to" for ham and cheese croissants and my Father-in-law loves their apple fritters! We're about half a mile north of them, on the ocean side.
Unless you're doing a loop, if you're coming back up through, give a shout-out! Albeit, this week my wife and I are in Florida (flying, not driving) for her company's Christmas party.

We're homeward bound at this point; snow in the rockies not being what we hoped, we cut off our 3 ski days and completely reorganized the trip (checked out Sedona, and then revisited Mesa Verde NP and Great Sand Dunes NP from previous trips).

Florida will probably be in about 6 weeks for us, house hunting and visiting family
