Drove it in a bit past the lip

Just a quick sanity check for me, does the spring just ride on the "follow" spring. There isnt a spring isolator in the front?

Removed some spacers and the iron man lift springs and replacing with dobinsons, just wanted to double check.

Awesome, I didnt see it in the FSM for the front but it just seemed odd lol. Thanks!

Both sides done, torque to spec, all that s***.

last thing on the agenda is bleeding the brakes, going to knock that out tomorrow. Check for leaks etc. Then road test.

The new springs are C59-170's. Left the spacer on the driver front. Hopefully this'll even her out a bit more.

Big girl is all buttoned up, for now....

if yall havent flushed out your brake fluid. Do it! Mine looked like chocolate milk. And it took about 1.5 liters before it finally cleared up. This bottle with a one way valve made it easy!

Anyway time to hit some trails and camp sites.

Brakes are one of the first things I upgrade. In my 99 Civic HB I ran 11" rotors in the front, and converted the rears from drum to disc from a Civic Si. The calipers in front were from and Integra Type R. The booster and master were upgraded to larger ones too. That car if you weren't careful would lock up pretty easily.

On the 80 I have gone with drilled and slotted rotors at all four corners with the towing/off road pads from Powerstop. The ABS and proportioning valve been deleted and I added a Wilwood proportioning valve, which is nice as the 80 brakes now with a lot less nose dive.

I have great success with the stuff from Powerstop so I installed it on our Camry too, but OE +. The braking is a lot better now in the Camry too.

Yeah the brakes still suck, i honestly didnt expect much. I do need to delete my abs and the LSPV. I'll check out the powerstop stuff for sure.

I've also been looking at Torfabs E-booster setup as well.

Maybe a combo of all that will help, but for now. Ill just drive slow LOL.

Slow is not in our vocabulary... LOL.

I have tossed around the idea of Hydro boost as well. Torfabs E Booster setup is pretty cool too.

Best way to test your repair? Go over some passes and find some cool campsites.

Left the Denver Diesel Emissions Program Area, and hit St, Elmo, Tincup Pass, then camped at mirror lake. The smoke wasnt too bad, but you could definitely see it in Buena Vista.
