Cruisin Off Road no longer ships their products, which kills that idea. Was going to be steep shipping from Canada to Arizona anyways. Has anyone seen another slider that uses a wraparound bracket design instead of a U-bolt?

Sam

Why don't you like the U-Bolt?

I’m not sure how to link another thread but here’s a quote from TrailTailor.

Any update on this? This would also be my choice but I haven’t seen any update.

Two updates for this.
  • I have my old 100 coming in for a new bumper design and plan to get the wrap legs designed.
  • I have ordered a new bend die and should be able to offer a kickout soon as well.

I have an awesome set from White Knuckles, great work, great welds and fitting them to the truck was 20min job. Lead time was bang on if not a week faster. The U bolts are fine design, when you get under the truck you will see there isn't much room for a beefy wrap around bracket to fit between all the lines. Flat would brackets have a higher stress point at the bends then a U bolt.

I have the lower 10* angled version, with diamond plates over the kick out so my kids (3&5) feet don't slip between the pipes.

Thanks to the guys posting pictures and first hand experience. Good to hear the OPORs are useable as a step for the halflings, I think that's the route i'll be going.

Have any of the LX guys retained the stock lights on the running boards? Not a huge deal, but they are useful in lighting up the steps in the stock locations. Perhaps there is a way to relocate them for sliders but still use the original wiring.

What I did was use the wires that were there and replace with “rock lights” off amazon. Works great and they are waterproof.
