Does ARB make that bumper without the chrome?

Yes, that bar is the Sahara bar. The also make a Combination bar (fits 1998-2002 trucks) and then the new combination bar (2003+ trucks). The combination bar has the same style of tubework as the 80's bar. The new (2003+) bar has the cutouts for the foglight setup simmillar to the Sahara bar (does not come with the lights, optional). I wanted the other one, but this is the only one that fits a 1998 LX470. See www.arbusa.com and then go to protection and vehicle specific.

Got it. I guess I prefer the IFS deluxe bar, but that doesn't matter b/c I never get to drive our 100 series anyway!

Just curious, what did your LX470 weigh before and after all of the mod's? Did you add a supercharger?

Never did weight it before. Will see if we get past a scale this trip. No supercharger.

I saw the rig about one month ago when I was back home visiting family. Bumper was still in progress. Made me want a 100...just got the 80 so it will be a while.

With a 100 series you really should have a pto powered blender to mix up your cocktails while sitting in the leather seats listening to mozart on the trail
