LX most desirable color?

I was planning on keeping my Gold 2001 LX with 162,000 miles for a very long time because I have done a lot of aftermarket stereo system work to it & replaced a lot of OEM parts to keep it running great.

But, I had a guy with a trailer try to run over me the other day. So if I could change the color what would you think would look good?

In general, keeping the OEM color will maintain the most value. If you're hell bent on changing it, the next best is an OEM Toyota color. The least value is in a non-OEM, non-Toyota color change, but for some of us, it doesn't matter, I'm not planning on selling mine, and even if I do, the next owner probably won't care either, there's no going back to stock on this thing!

I'd keep it one of the OEM offerings. Maybe go through the options and see which one's your favorite. My preference would be for the blue color.

But really, it's fine as is IMO.

My favorite OEM color for your 2001 LX470 is the rare Mystic Sea Opal but if you're talking about ANY color...
FJ Cruisers Voodoo Blue or Heritage Blue or just a straight up "Ticket Getter" red...of which I have only seen one.

If you change colors, there's the Door Jams, under hood, around the tail gate ... a lot more expense.
I'd think it best to keep it the same color.

Yeah, also...reinspecting the damage...they may try to total it.
Every panel including rear quarter and plastic cladding are effected.

Rear rim and tire took a shot too...

I love my Blizzard White Pearl, but I'd vote for Sand Dollar Pearl.

stock looking vehicle... I'd stick to stock looking paint.

But for medium stock appearance I'd also opt for those blue tones (new Subaru Outback Wilderness also has a nice one).
For non stock options... I mean... I painted my van in raptorliner orange

Color ideas (at paint)

I recently acquired a locked 98. It’s fairly battered on the passenger side, however, to me it’s worth saving. At the end of the month it’s going to the body shop for all the body work and complete color change. Personally I want Toyota color code 4E9 but my wife doesn’t. She loves the cavalry...
