I remodeled my luggage rack... in my new 2017 LC200... ARGH. :bang:

I park in a multilevel underground parking garage at work where there is some construction going on.

This is damage on the rear left (driver) side

and rear right (passenger) side

I have the cross bar but the passenger side mount broke off. I also have both of the rear plastic covers (w/ tabs broken off).

I still think I got pretty lucky as there is no visible damage to the roof or the antenna, albeit I snapped the cross bar and the two rear covers.

What is the best place to get those parts?
TIA

First one always hurts the most. The cross bars aren’t cheap if I recall. I’d look at a new roof rack though if you’re spending money on new crossbars.

Please read a few of the roof rack threads for proper removal of the bolts. Hint: partially remove one, then fully remove the other before removing the first. There is a retaining clip you definitely don’t want to break.

This is similar to crunching your factory bumper: a good excuse to get a proper one! I wouldn't even bother buying those parts, I'd take it off and get a good aftermarket rack. I think the factory rack is worthless.

Yes, I'm sure the damage would have been less with taller roof rack, made of steel.... .. . ...
Exactly right. I can only dream about several of the popular mods you guys do here all the time! - life and work get in the way by means of vertical challenges I barely clear as is, stock (and sometimes not at all, lol).

Help with the parts is very much appreciated! Thank you.

I think I hit a lamp/light enclosure or some of a plumbing/fire installation - stuff under construction that was hanging loose... I got really lucky as the damage could have been way worse.

The problem is I lost my assigned parking due to construction, and it's been hell (public parking garage in a regional medical center...). I dream of canyons and sharp rocks, lol. The place can be a mess when everyone's trying to get out - last night after hitting something I barely had time to stop and pick up the pieces... without causing too much of a traffic jam (or being shot at, lol), it's a bit of urban jungle... Oh, well.

I see you're from St Louis. Stay away from Jaye Wolfe Toyota. It's where I bought my 200 from. Complete scumbags.
s***.

Well... That explains a few things... (yes I bought from them, and took it there for the first (10k) service). There were a few things I found puzzling.
Damn. Any recommendations for around here? I have an extended service contract with them though for basic PM so I may be at least partially stuck. I appreciate headsup!

Thank you very much! And not very far from me, actually.

Fixed the rack!
Also - got the OEM wheels powder coated, very happy! Really changed the look.
