Lone Star Land Cruiser Round Up @ Katemcy Rocks in Mason TX (K2) March 15-18.

I know this is a long shot for anyone in Ga, but I'm hoping to make this as I just recently saw pics from K1 and K2. Really cool park. Supposedly dubbed little Moab or Moab of the east or something of that nature. I can see why!

In case you are interested in linking your plans with TN team too, there is a core group from STLCA making plans on going. Roger is a positive. Andy and others are possibles.

 Okay guys, here's something to consider...

If you check out the STLCA thread, https://forum.ih8mud.com/tn-stlca/552937-lone-star-land-cruiser-round-up.html, you'll see that Roger has offered to run his 4car hauler to this event. Right now, just he and I are committed so that leaves two open spots. Very loosely calculated, it'll be around $400 per person for gas money with 4 trucks. If you can get to his place just north of the Cove, I'm sure you can load up there and ride the rest of the way. The plan right now (I think) is that Roger would drive the first half, about to the Texas border, picking me up in route Tuesday evening; I would drive the second half straight through to Mason so no hotel costs.

This is about the cheapest you'll ever be able to get to Katemcy with your rig I think. Anyone interested? John & Josh, Ted, Henry, Dave???

C'mon guys. Two spots spoken for, 1 spot tentatively taken, only 1 spot for sure open (two if you act quick though).

We have it on our calendar this year. We've been jonesing this event since the last one we went to, the year K1 closed.

Probably gonna take the southerly route through NOLA, Shiner Brewery and Houston to drag Heather out to the event too.

Landspeeder has been out there a few times, probably see him out there too.

YES!!!!!

Well, we have scratched this from our calendar this year. Just not going to work out after all.

NO!!!!

I'll be calling you soon to pick on you until you agree to come!!!!

Only one spot left on Roger's hauler now. There's a few people chompin at the bit wanting the last spot; they're all waiting to be sure they have the time off I think. Don't miss this chance to wheel K2 guys!

MetalTech Group Buy Offer for the Round Up

If MetalTech receives at least three orders of MetalTech products by Feb 20th, they will discount each order 10% AND the shipping will be split between everyone in the group buy for even more savings. All you have to do is contact MetalTech with your order and mention that you are part of the Round Up group buy.

Items can be picked up at the event or shipped to you. If shipped to you then the shipping discount would not apply, unless mutiple items were shipped to MS.

This deal ends Monday.

I've been watching the pics come in from different folks and it really looks like fun. I really wish I could've been there, would much rather have been out there having fun than workin' my arse off!

Finally got around to looking at some of the pictures that Tina took. Some really good pictures. Like Steve said, great park, great people, just a really long drive, but worth it. I did not push my truck, maybe I should have...., did some 3 and 4 rated trails, but there are always easy and/or harder lines to take. Only damage I had was ripping out front diff. drain plug. My driving skills probably helped that, banging my front diff into every rock that I could possibly come in contact with. LOL!! Enjoy the pics.

E'rrybody there was a class act! Can't say I had the honor of being spotting by any of the above names, but I was like a kid in a candy store when Marlin was spotting for me at one point... Then he hopped in for a ride! Epic day for a rock crawler mini-truck guy like me.
