One late wrinkle is some dodgy, 30 year old wiper motors. Tor's wizards are working to rebuild the wiper motors along with the heater blower.

Ward - The next time we get together, I want to tell you my wiper motor story. It involves going West in a snowstorm down Vail Pass!
The build is looking good!

Hoo needs wipers when you're going downhill!?

Onur suggested that a 79 Series wiper motor p/n 85110-60202 might work so we will see what happens. EDIT: Nope, won't work, wrong side.

Anyone else with some experience in dealing with wiper motors? Mine operates properly but heats up to an extreme degree.

Was worth the shot since it's the only non-US LC 12V available in the US pipeline.

Wonder what else might work... :hmm:

A used one from a Euro LJ7X series,I might have 1 left but can always get more.

Maybe there are a few new ones left in Europe.....If you find them I will bring em ;-)

That would be very nice Joe. Either or both. I feel like hoarding :)

Let me check the shop first tomorrow and if I don't have any left I will order 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 or whatever quantity you want ;-)

Next container should be here in November if anyone needs other used 70 series parts (shameless tread hack ) Lol

Used is good, new is better. One of each would be cool...

WHAT ABOUT A COMPRESSOR FOR THE LOCKERS?

Yep, trick question.....

As noted above, the Burrito will get a set of Harrop ELockers - one next week and another when we refresh the front end (knuckles, stainless birfs, etc.) next year. Like the name says, the actuation is electrical, not air. No air lines, no air compressor.

So what's a guy to do when airing up the tires? Well, I have a 12v portable Viair (slow and noisy) for back-up, but the primary system will be a 10 lb. Power Tank with regulator and accessory bits as below. Should fit nicely on the roll bar. I pulled the rear seat and donated it to another rig so the back is dedicated to gear and my dog, so plenty of room for tools, fluids, parts and accessories.

Also provided is a neat little video on the differences between Nitro, OBA compressor/tank and CO2 (Power Tank).

I am not a patient guy, so the CO2 just makes sense for my needs and interests. Yes, we sell Harrops; no, we don't sell CO2 systems :)

If you want to skip the video, here are the results: Nitrogen 1.5 minutes, OBA compressor and tank 8 minutes and Power Tank/CO2 1 minute, 7 seconds. Half an hour to top off a set of tires is pretty nuts. In fairness, the tires in the video are rather large volume 35s, but there is still quite a bit of difference there.

I can beat that Powertank with a Powertank....and Powervalves on 37s...

I am not patient either and when the day is done, don't care to sit around waiting for tanks to thaw, compressors to run. The Powervalve set up may be more than most "need", but aired up and done in no time.

You won't be disappointed with the quality. Best set up I've seen.

Air box finished off, radiator secured, lots of kit back from the PC shoppe, including fan shroud. A very nice OEM hood pad ready to go on (thanks Onur!).

Tor's entire crew has really busted some moves to make this rig happen. One example - the 73 was a rather basic rig when sold new in Spain -- manual windows, no air, etc. We sourced new AC components (thanks Yan) including condenser, evap, amplifier, etc. and a very robust pump was included with the GM accessory package. Went with an aftermarket switch that fits tastefully in the stock heater control panel. The result? A very clean install all around, that should blow cold all day long.

Looking good! (I'm no airflow expert but I'm going to venture a guess that yer gonna want to remove that plastic wrap & label eventually) :hillbilly:

See, that's where you are wrong. Years from now that filter will look brand new. :)

Yep, lamp shades, upholstered furniture, air filters - they all last a lot longer if protected....

It sound like it is coming together nicely Ward. I look forward to seeing it next year.
Thank you, sir. Wife gave permission for me to get lost for a couple of weeks - I told her it was a business trip!

All I gotta do now is figure out how to pay for a place to sleep...... :)

Umm. Without proper authorization from the CFO you may need it as a second home/doghouse.
I always get permission.....
