Ok,

I have searched for the last 30 minutes looking for a replacement for 44348-60170. I can't find 3/4" power steering hose in bulk in any local auto parts store. I don't want to pay $25 plus shipping for about 18" of straight hose.

What have others/you used for a non OEM replacement?

I will go by tomorrow and see what they have. The only thing I have been able to find in 3/4" size says "heater hose" on it.

I have some cloth braided Aeroquip power steering hose that I can send you if you want it. I should still have about another three feet of it.

Edit: I have like 8ft of it.

Joey, save me a bit! After seeing your hard your old lower pressure hose was the PS hoses are now on my radar.

I actually have both. I think I still have about 5ft of the 3/8" Aeroquip cloth braided hose. I would need to verify that one though. You are welcome to whatever you need.

When we needed to do this ~7 hours in on White Rim Road in Canyonlands NP, we used some (5/8"?) hose out of the boonie box in my K5 Blazer :hillbilly:

Do these hoses get so hard from the original brown PS fluid, or will the Dexron III turn my brand new OEM hoses into tubular shaped rocks in a few years?

I don't know the answer but I will say that I installed new 3/8 hose when my ps pump was replaced four years ago. My hoses were tubular rocks now.

1 of y'all says it's 3/4", one says 5/8" & 2 say it's 3/8". Y'all got me paranoid now so I'm going to replace mine but am now confused on the correct ID!!!!!
