I had a build thread in our clubhouse forum but I guess it got deleted. It was a 1975 FJ40 that I had completely redone. The guy wants 14.5K for it which I feel is to expensive.

I remember and a nice build it was, it may have got moved after you sold it I'll look tomorrow and move it back if I can :)

Did you do all the work on the 40 and if you did would it be ok if I give you a call? thanks

Yup call me when you can. Here is a pictures of the cruiser the day I sold it. I know the guy that bought it lives over in the baton rouge/Laffy area. He changed the tires, added a better radio, a fire ext. and some seat covers.

Guys, what do yall think...

The fellow's asking 3000 for them both... These are the 2 John found in Brussard.

A couple questions I've got.

Does the Red one infact have a Metal Tech cage. The point that I'm not sure about it the bump in the middle...

Are the front seats in Red original. They are Plether, I thought it was cloth in the orginal...

There is a bunch of parts in Grey one, which We're not sure what is in, I was a wire harness maybe, 4 front fenders, 4 back seats, not in besh cloth, but metal looks good.

All new lights, decent tires on Red.

A Safari Rack on grey, didn't get any pics of it..

The cons, They both have rust on the rear fenders, and under door. Red has rust on hard top around the rain gutters, the rear door on red is sorta ok, a little rust at bottom. Interior floors look good on red. Ok ish on Grey.

Under the hood on Grey, lots of rust. Both battery box's shot. Grey transmision supposedly trashed. engine stront supposedly. Red runs strong.

The Grey one's top is decent, little rust, not bad.

Frame not best, but I've seen LOTS lorst. Looks still strong...

Don't know about Lockers. no winch's, but there are profisions for winch's on RED.

What's yalls thoughts.

I would say that if you plan to part them out, you should EASILY make your money back with those 2. As for the roll bar, it looks like some kind of aftermarket B hoop. What is in the center of that hoop? It looks like some kind of connector to hold 2 pieces of pipe together. If you decide to part them out, let me know. I may want a few parts. If you decide to build them, I have a 4 speed tranny / 3 speed t-case available for the shot tranny you've got. ;)

BTW, your house is gonna start looking like a cruiser grave yard soon with all the cruisers you are stock piling. :D

I believe thats the two Eric bought for a short time, the roll bar is an after market roll bar they didn't put factory roll bars in until 74. Eric's plan was to build the red one for a trail rig use the other for parts and part it out. He wound up selling them he had the 80 and 40 at the time as well.

Here is a Jackson Metaltech cage

I live in Broussard 16 years how did you find them Cody?

I'm just that Good...

Nah, Johnathan posted about them...

Thanks
Cody

Looks like you have your answer Cody, hand the man $2500 cash. Build one and sell the left over parts for $3000.:D

John, in all likely hood the pickup would be better than the 4runner in just about everyday. I just don't have the cash to get a anything right now. Fuel injection would be so nice though.

We had a talk today, Seems we need to stop adding to the collection, without any results.. :D

Thanks
Cody
