I saw it Sat. very nice.

Taking a back road to Rayne Sunday I saw an 80 for sale in a front yard with $5000 on the window. I think it was Landry road, thats all I know about it.

I hear its a nice rig, the wife mentioned she likes it. I told her we'd go check it out but she opted for house projects :) she has her priorities straight, LOL.

Lol! I didn't see it, but my future wife suggested, Saturday, that I sell the 80 and get that one because it was purdy. I suggested we get it for her, but much like you, she opted for wedding projects instead of going see it:lol:

LOL, someone has to keep us in check or we'd have a fleet :) I'll push her towards a 100 when she's done with the Sequoia I'd rather see her in that than the minivan that way I can still do some exploring on trips :) the Sequoia still running strong with 203 on the clock just put a set of Depo headlights on it and just got in new turn signals for it. I really like that 4.7 its a good one.

Damn, I wish I could keep mine in the same vehicle for 203.

 me too. We got this one second hand from my parents my Mom reeled off 130 on it going back and forth to TN before we got it. It had a perfect service history and the wife wanted one like it so we weren't about to let them trade it in.

sooooooooo glad my wedding is over ! back to dumping money in to something can have fun with:) and flip and stuff lol

 hopefully it won't come time to sell them so she can get a house  I've been there and done that. In the next life I'd push for the extra large shop with a loft for living so I can stare down at my eventual cruiser fleet ;)

Any of y'all familiar with this 80, by chance? It's an eBay deal in New Iberia.

Toyota : Land Cruiser 1997 40th Anniversary Toyota Land Cruiser in Anitque Sage w/ Factory Diff Locks

Does it list the owners name, Armond has a nice 40th fitting that description.

That has to be Armond's 80. I had no idea and didn't put 2 and 2 together. Larry, Delancy is a friend. Can you put him in touch with Armond. He is looking for an 80 and asked about it but I didn't even think about Armond.

Yea, that's mine. I was agressive with the reserve ($14,000) and it didn't sell. I had many questions about it and offers off ebay. The highest was $13,000 from a guy in Oklahoma. The truth be told, I bought it hoping to convince my daughter to take it. She wouldn't bite. I'm gonna keep it. The more I drive it, I like it. I will eventually do a mild build on it with a lift, bumpers, snorkel, etc. Time is what's kicking my butt. I've got a brand new ARB Bull Bar still in the packaging sitting in my shop that's been there for a month. If I can't find the time to simply bolt that thing on, where am I gonna find the time to do everything else. I thought if I sold this, I could find one that's already put together. Oh well, it'll take me a little longer to end up with what I want, but I can learn to be patient....I hope.

When he mentioned it I really didn't think that was yours but was following up just to make sure because he was interested. I looked for it but couldn't find the link last night. I'm glad you decided to keep it. If you do decide to let it go later please put me on the notify list :D In the meantime we can help with the bumper and mods over a few brews just say when  I hope the soccer games went well it was a beautiful weekend.

X2, I'm glad you're keeping it. It is cherry my friend!

If you change your mind, you've got my number.

By far the cleanest 80 I've seen yet, and I was prepared to preserve it as a garage queen.

Delancy

Edited: and I would've gone $14k, as bad as I hate to admit it.

Still looking.
