Just got back from being out of town for 10 days. Dude, I don't have a tenant in there right now. Been thinking I would not rent it out again since the last tenant left three months behind on rent and was not a good steward of my property. My problem is that I'm not good landlord. I'm too nice and understanding according to my wife. Of course she says that only applies to my dealings with everyone besides her! Anyway, I was getting (when the guy was paying his rent) $1500/month. It's worth every bit of that - 2500 square feet, 3BR, 2BA, 2 car garage, 5 acres on the bayou...... If you could get a roommate to match your budget, I'd rent it to you for $1,100/month. It'd be worth it to have someone I trust in there.
if u have a lawn more id be glad to cut and up keep i enjoy that, i wish i knew some one , i had a buddy who just moved in with a nother buddy , he would have been a good on he went to iraq with me and is real squared away ,

How far do you want to travel and what condition are you expecting for only $3k?
I'm from Louisiana, so all my family is in the Alexandria area... That being said, I'll be traveling to LA soon anyways.
Condition? As good as I can get. I've seen a few deals and was even considering the $3300 one in Metarie, running but with rust.
