I talked to the owner (really nice guy) and was really just a few keystrokes from booking a ticket to KS planning on hauling it back, however... I decided at the last minute to do the responsible thing and pay off my credit card before I make my purchase. I was doing the math on the most cost-efficient way to get the truck back to LA... The whole while I've got a big debt, carrying a monthly finance charge staring me in the face. :frown: I'm bummed that I didn't get the 40 and knowing it's going to be a little while before I can get serious again about buying, but it was the right thing to do. And now the opportunity awaits for someone else to jump on this thing. It appears to be a great value. I don't know how it's remained available for this long.

BIG THANKS to Deryl, Mike and Lance for helping me out during my search. The search continues, albeit at a much slower pace now. :cheers:

Of course, now this means I'll have to hitch a ride and chip-in for someone else's gas at Sicily Island Labor Day weekend! :beer:

Hello All! I'm looking for (1) BFG KM2 305/70/16. It doesn't need to be new, I just need it for my spare. I'd like to trade my current spare if possible. BFG 265/75/16 AT KO. Only has about 100 miles on it at the most. I'm in New Orleans but willing to meet up within a reasonable distance.

Bump for an earlier post:

I have a pair of 3.70 diffs from a '84 FJ60. Sell or trade for a pair of 4.11's with fine spline pinions (I want to replace the course-spline diffs in my '70 FJ40).

Also have a drivers-side fender for a 40.

Finally, I'm looking for a pair of early 40 doors to cut down for half-doors.

Depending on their condition, they can go anywhere from $50 to over $200 each, at least I have seen them for sale on MUD, CL and e-bay in that range. I sold a set from my 40 at last year's SCC for $100 for the set but they were pretty rusted on the bottoms.

Check the Carfax on that 80, Website says around 55,000. Carfax says over 220,000
