Yeah, I think thats what I paid for mine back in the day... still got the winch mouth err mount though.

:frown: what were you doing? Did you still have the cable on there?

I have the synthetic line. I really don't see how it broke. My winch is only a 9000. I was trying to pull the back end of an 18 wheeler around some palm trees in a field because a bridge was out and we had to go through someones property that was a little muddy and very tight. We only needed to move it about 6 inches around a tree. I still have the line and will splice it back together. It broke about 6 feet from the bitter end.

Hummm, willing to bet there was a downed tree attached to the end of that winch line.

No, it was about 60,000 lbs of dead trees in the back of a truck.

Isaac, I think John has one he is looking to get rid of.

Thanks for the offer but I can fix this one.

This is the third synthetic cable I have broke. All of them have had zero abrasion and are top brands. It sure is nice to break them instead of steel. When they break they just fall to the ground. It seems kinda strange that they would break, maybe I am not doing it right.

What size you using? I've been holding out for a 100FT of 3/8 for the 80.

They say like 5/16 is good for 13000lbs i have the amsteel blue on my fjc , the bigest thing i pulled was a lumber truck wos nose was in a ditch buy ryans ryan didn think my cabel would hold

When my last 5/16th broke it was brand new and put on the spool about 5 hours before pulling. I was pulling about 10,000 lbs. I think I just have bad luck.:bang:

None here Albert I'm still running the OEM as well. Did you and he get my returned email from TN asking to look over that Anniversary model? I wasn't sure if it went through :whoops:

I compare usually compare the online prices to Musson to make sure I'm getting the best deal and Musson usually beats it with not having the shipping cost.
