Hey! So, after researching the absolute pile of turds that the 2LTE engine is, it’s made me skeptical about paying $20kAUD for one.
Now, the catch is; the engine was recon’d and had a lot of work done to it, and it seems a lot of preventative work has been done to help prevent the head from going like these engines so commonly love to do.
Attached is his description of work done. The cars listing photos show a very clean, well maintained Hilux with an extremely clean engine bay and all around well cared for truck. It seems to have been fitted with with a larger more robust radiator and cooling system hoses, etc. Just looking for someone who knows what they’re talking about to tell me whether the work done to this truck is worth me even considering buying it for.
