Essential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)
Site adapt prototype exterior and interior design standards to new restaurant locations.
Creates floor plans, interior and exterior design drawings/ renderings under the direction of the Manager, and assist with plotting, printing, and distribution of information.
Assist manager in researching, selecting and specifying appropriate products for use in building and remodeling Denny’s restaurants.
Develops and maintains material and document resource center; maintain archive of plans and photos.
Develops, maintains, and distributes drawings, plans, and specifications to field Project Managers and Franchisees.
Responds to field questions and issues related to general design considerations and deviation requests.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge / Skills / Experience
Technical school degree in architecture/construction/interiors or similar discipline required.
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture preferred.
1-2 years of architectural design and drafting experience required.
Knowledge of commercial kitchen design and equipment preferred.
Knowledge of commercial/retail design preferred.
Knowledge of Revit preferred.
Knowledge of google sketch up preferred.
AutoCad proficient in most current release.
Experience in Photoshop and other 3-D graphic design software packages with understanding of their use in design and architecture.
Ability to read construction documents.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing requirements.
Works well in a corporate team environment.
This position will be based in the Support Center in Spartanburg, SC.
