Looking for FJ25 front seats - high toolbox style

I am in need of a passenger and driver front seat for the 25 (high toolbox style). Let me know if you have anything that may work. The 25 is titled and plated and, to be honest, the toolbox makes a pretty good seat; however, I don't think the law would agree.

High toolbox style <1960 based on what I have read:

Based on the thread above, I can use an early 40 passenger seat by extending the tube.


This is what the low toolbox seats look like. I'll modify that as well if anyone has that style. I'm not picky

I'm thinking what you are looking for is a set of 25-E40 seats. what makes the driver's seat fit the high tool box are the two "taller" brackets that the seat pivots on, the front of the seat clamps to the tool box the same. later 25s with the low tool box have a lower driver's seat compared to the passenger seat.

Buy my '59, it has seat frames, and I'll toss in a gas cap...

In the original post, what accounts for the difference between the two driver side seat backs? The first photo (green one) shows that the seat back itself welds in front of the seat back frame tube, leaving the lower horizontal tube of the seat back frame exposed when viewed from behind.

The second photo (blue one) shows the seat back plate instead attaches behind the tube frame, obscuring that lower horizontal tube from sight when viewed from behind.


Is the exposure of that lower horizontal seat back tube a distinguishing feature between the FJ25 high and low tool box driver side seats? I've seen photos on Mud of FJ25 driver seats constructed both ways. Was there a certain year this change was made?

Trying to understand the difference in hopes of maybe identifying what range of FJ25 years this seat might have come from? If in fact it's from a FJ25 at all?
