Hi All,

As I move along in the rebuild of my rig, the engine shop has informed me that my head is cracked. So if you happen to have an early F head you don't need or want to sell or know of someone to reach out to, I'd sure appreciate the help.

PS. I've been in contact with Powder Pig (Adventure Offroad) and Classic Cruisers but no luck. Trying to find it locally (CO).

Upgrade to a later F head. You will be happy you did in the long run.

My 66 bottom end now has a 72 top end on it.

You will obviously need manifolds to go with it but the parts are much easier to find than the early stuff.

Possibly try Sigfrids & Sons in Monument, CO. He's on mud here sometimes too (@sigorama).

Sometimes it's about keeping a vehicle original not better. A 2FE, five speed, split transfer and new axles with discs on all four would be even better then just a updated F engine. A later cylinder head and manifolds would be a dead give away it's no longer original.

Siamese port head? there has to be some boat anchors floating around CO.
Did you put a post up in the classifieds?

I have access to some in MT, but you should be able to find 1 closer.

Thx, All! Appreciate the ideas, offers and leads. Will try to find something locally (Sigfrids, Redline, local Mud'rs, etc) before venturing out of state but great to know you guys are out there.
