If we want to go to the lake for swimming and activities...how far are these areas from our campsite?
 
Yes ramon, i still want the springs....would anyone like to swap these stock height front springs for some taller heavies?

Like Meatball said, the lake is close to group camp for fishing but swimming, I wouldn't think a good area. I'm not familiar with that side of Badin lake so I haven't a clue. You might be able to swim in the Arrowhead camp area but I'm not even sure if it is allowed.

You could drive to low water bridge and take a dip in the Uwharrie (creek) River. :p http://www.learnnc.org/lp/multimedia/8330

I jumped in for a swim a few years ago to cool down a bit. Had no idea swimming could actually not be allowed there.
 
So they call this a "Run"...Does anyone want to go for a long run Friday Morning or any morning after that on the trails? I'm thinking it is a good way to get rid of a hang over and I have to keep (cough start) training for my 50K on OCT 5th. Maybe that or a babysitter for the kid while the wife and I head out for an hour or so?
 
i amtoo arthritic for running but i will be there with an 8yr old ,how old is yours?

Not really up for running right now but I will drive behind you and yell things if you want. :D

Depends on distance and pace.... Right now I'm a meager 5K at about a 6mph pace. And yes, I'm mixing SI and standard units.. ;)
