The spacer I am thinking of would go between the main bearing hub and Aisin Locker body. I don't think this would do the trick, maybe I'm wrong.

Ok lets make this nice and simple..........If you can measure 3/4" of axle sticking out past the end of the spindle, you use short hubs
If you can measure 1 1/8" of axle sticking out past the end of the spindle, you use long hubs

Long fine spline birf is 7 3/8" Short fine spline birf is 7"

What is the measurement of your axle? 3/4" or 1 1/8"

I'm currently in the same boat. I didn't install my shorter birfs because my longer ones looked brand new.

Now you got me thinking..... I might pull mine too so I can run the Aisins instead of the Warns.

The longer ones are smaller (if I recall correctly the flats are larger). Depending on the year of your housing (pre 79) you will need to do some grinding.

Are there bronze bushings in your spindles? Can't think of what else that would give you he extra length.

Curious, did Georg confirm these parts came out of an FJ60? I am assuming all the parts were separate when you got them? Were the hubs from Georg as well?

Yes, he did confirmed when I went to pick the parts up. The hubs I got originally are in my storage, because I accidentally pressed the wheels studs without the rotor. So I went and got a replacement from Georg, which is the one in the pictures. I was told that would work. MotoV8R, any comment on the hub?

Wheel bearing hubs/spindles are all the same distances...

The only variable here is the length of your outer axle stub.

It would appear as though you have the 08/75-12/78 outer axle stubs.(Birfields)


These are your options:

Change outer axles

Find long body OEM lockouts

Find Warn lockouts.

Have you taken it apart? Nothing has explained why your axle sticks out 1 5/8" from the end of your spindle.
