Detroit makes a limited slip?
or are you referring to the True Trac? (nothing like it. other than the out of production Torsen which is in H1's. it is a clutchless, all gear, ltd slip that blows any other ltd slip off the planet. if you're good at the brakes, a quick stab will lock this up. a VERY good alternative to a front locker)
Pocket locker, FULL locker or limited slip, just so you know, they are all completely different. Be specific and we'll give you specific answers.

Yes, I run the Detroit TrueTrac limited slip in the front of my 4Runner. It does help, it's way better than open, but it's not a locker. Tapping the brake will get it to "lock" up if necessary.
