i went to a parts store and they said about 725 buck for a detroit mechanical locker any one know of a cheaper diff locker i tried the aussie locker but they don't make one for my truck. 92 ext cab 4.30 gears and 4 pinion diff.

Lockright makes one, I assume you have the V6 3.0. I'm in the same boat and the LR are about +/- $240.00. Planning on my install in the next few weeks, if you beat me to it let me know how it goes.

double check my research but I think this is what you're looking for:

Please for the love of mike...

The pocket lockers are good, but just know they are NOT a "full case locker". Anyway you look at it they WILL NOT take the abuse a "full case" will. And, they will exert all the stress on the weakest part of their rotating assembly....ie, they will break at its weakest point. (teeth, pins, springs, rare but carriers have busted to)

(a full case will break at its weakest point to only it moves the breakage up (way up) the chain)

A full case is a more complex design where more thought, engineering and production is involved. I.E, WHY it costs more.

They'll both work ok, but you WILL replace the "pocket" locker before you will the full case. WHERE you are when you have to do that will be anyone$ gue$$.

Cheapskate! :flipoff2: (j/k, me to, I'm a Aussie or TRD fan)
