Local Run- Dec. 20 or 21st?

There is now room for one more!! Soory guys but I have to bow out. New client with big problems ($$$$) so next week is out for me. Slomo, could you take the lead? or else someone post up.
There are two FJ's from the fjforums - Gon2surf (scott - blue fj from the holcomb run) and Frogeye, that were planning on joining us. I will direct them to this thread to chime in if they are still a go.

I would be happy to take the lead Stan but I am not sure if I can go. I will find out tomorrow if I can re-arrange or if I have to bail. I think I can go on the 20th though. Looks like a total mix of who is for what day. If the majority wants to go on the 21st please do that and Smitty can have the reigns. Speak up now if you want on or off of the list and I will post up tomorrow when I find out my status.

if it's the 21st I am confirmed....TAz press it....STan is your new client just Wed. or is he a $pecial client and requires the billable hours of the entire weeks end?
 
just find somebody who can stay both days to lead the thing...! :)
 
I am in either day..... Doesnt make a difference........ Just let me know what the set date is!

Agreee totally. Smitty why don't you take over and run the show. I am only a maybe for one day so it doesn't make sense for me to try and lead this.
 
I don't want to step on ANY toes...but it looks like everyone is for the 21st if not impartial to going on thurs. with the exception of Taz who is also a possible Thurs.

I would like to propose making it official on Thurs. 8:30am same place.

No hurt toes here. I just remembered that Smitty is really busy right now at work and doesn't have alot of time to devote. How about if you take the lead Sam. I can't make Thursday but it sounds like the majority can and that would work out best. I know Smitty will not be offended at all, he would be gratefull acutally.

As Mo said, i am extremely busy this time of year (not too busy to sneak away next thurs. though;) ) Just let me know when and where to meet on thurs. morning. Carl's Jr. on green valley again?

As taz said, there will prob. be enough for both days. Mark me down for the 21st though.

I guess there is still plenty of snow wheeling yet since I cant participate for this 1st group snow run.

Hello fellow muder’s, our good friend PKP80 gave me a ring last night. We spoke for about 20min and at the end he gave me “power of mud” for him as he is away until Sunday.

So speaking on his behalf I would like to find out what the Thursday 21st group wants to do. We have two options.
Option One: Run up to big bear and go snow wheeling (I am a little apprehensive about this because of the inherent risks that are involved, and everyone’s rigs except mine are really clean and nice. Remember when you go snow wheeling it not a question of if something gets damaged its WHEN!)
Option Two: Run 2n17X @ Silver wood Lake, This is a sweet trail that I think is perfect for our group, its challenging and fun offers great views and I know that we can even if its raining. No chains or sliders are required but its still hard.
Option 2b: If we go on 2n17x I will lead a run in February to the snow for all the SoCal80’s that want to run up there.

I have never been on 2n17X so I can't really say anything good or bad about the trail. I would love to see some snow, but also don't want to break anything! I know that there are some trails/roads up there that should be safe for the rigs (maybe the adopt a trail). I am really good for either as there may be some other opportunities in Jan or Feb for another snow run. If I HAD to choose, I would choose snow, but would be happy either way.

that comment was directed to 80's only, and no chopped 80's, while I was still high from putting the heavies on. I am still pretty much a wuss on the trail and will more than likely take all bypasses avail. That is until the LX is no longer a DD.

I am up for any of these runs doesnt make a difference!
 
what do you mean by clean trucks...my passenger side is trashed! That is what happened the last time I followed a 40 (on the rubicon):D. I am good with Thurs. at the moment even though I may have to bow out because of family coming into town. As far as trails goes the tougher the better. With the current forecast we might want to rethink abit because there might be ALOT of snow by next week.
