Ouch, that hurts! I guess I deserve it though for opting in and then out. Have a great time! :flipoff2:

I'm curious to hear how badly you guys will need chains or not.

kind of a short day, it seems...

an interesting story?

Trail Report 12/21/06 Silverwood Lake

The morning started out meeting up at the Chevron about 9am no thanks to construction on the 15N. Lead by Ian Rogers we set out, proceeded to run the trail backwards, and made it through without a hitch. The only carnage was a rear fender off David's (SilverCruiser) 80 which was sacrificed on the hardest obstacle on the trail which was a tight little rock wedge outlined in the pics. The V-wedge was not an issue this time around and the small rock garden at the head of the trail is no longer there.

I got word that RayJon's alternator failed while trying to start up at the gas station after we all departed our separate ways. Some great flexing to compliment the light dusting of snow (NO CHAINS NEEDED), and great conversations over school box type lunches and Cheese wiz. I had a great time and look forward to seeing you all on the trail soon.

The run was done in a very timely manner and but for the extended lunch and raffle (Thanks Ian, congrats Frank on the jerry can) we would have been done earlier. I have to commend everyone for being on time, pushing their rigs, and having a good time.

See you on the trail

Sam

I had a blast meeting new faces and seeing old ones again. It was actually me who had the starting issue. I must confess that I had a Motorcraft (FORD:confused: ) battery that was installed by the PO. I have no idea how old it was but the off road abuse it took today broke it down like any other Ford. Thanks to Silvercruiser who stuck by my side the entire time. We got it jumped off after 2 tries! I am now a member of the exclusive Optima club (I have a guaranteed 18 month membership) :censor: that thing was expensive!! It better be worth it. I won't be able to get the pics up tonight but I will try tomorrow morning. I prob. have 15 or so to put up. Thanks again for the run and I can't wait to see everyone again.

Looks like a good time, sure beats working. Sam and Ian job well done, it is hard to beat a group on time and promp in their wheeling. Hope to catch you all on the next one.
