Laborador City - diesel fuel
$1.46/litre $5.44/US gal
no government has the balls to do anything about it.
Go to gasbuddy.com and state your complaint... I just discovered that the Flying J in Vaudreuil was 15 cents cheaper yesterday, and guess what, I was in that town yesterday, damit!![]()
Well put!! Does anyone know why diesel is so much more the regular gas? I thought diesel is the waste byproduct of refining gasoline. Is this the higher price ratio do to the ultra low sulfur fuel now mandated? Where I live I only know of two places to get bio-diesel and they are both more expensive that normal fuel (whats the point? ) Also while I'm thinking about it , Does the ULS diesel have any negative effect on our motors? I thought I heard something about not giving enough lubricants to lift pump injectors etc. Most N.Americans can't connect the dots to understand how buying cheap Chinese crap from MalWart makes the price of fuel increase. The news-writers and news-speakers are keeping rather silent on this issue, so most of the public are blissfully unaware that they're shooting at their feet in a boat.
One solution is to do like Norway and nationalize the oil companies. Then a govt. can fix the price and drive the greedy speculators out of the market. The speculators did the same thing with real-estate, driving up prices till the mortgage bubble burst, and now the govt is running around shoving tax dollars into gaping holes so rich CEOs and their buddies don't loose their salaries and golden pensions. So now there's a bunch of empty houses nobody can afford to buy.
More importantly it's Rudolph Diesel's 150th birthday today.
I can see from your avatar what is happening... Sad picture to see the poor thing in storage!Best price I saw yesterday in Toronto was $1.149/litre or roughly $4.35/US gallon.
OK by cardlock you surely mean unattended, pay by credit card? Surely one doesn't need a special card? I went to one of these stations in the US opnce, used my credit card no problem.Flying J is a card lock so is always a lot cheaper than retail locations. Some Flying Js allow non-cardlock holders to buy fuel. There is something about the Shell diesel at the Flying Js that cause my rpm to drop by 100-150.
Fuel tax revenue has nothing to do with repairing roads.
