05/01/10 Kane Creek
The scenery of this trail was outstanding. Erosion cracks, water crossing, sand traps and tricky up-hill steps with tons of rocks are mixed all together. One more time, I spotted a lot of people, some of them already new me from the early runs, and they told me that they look like a parrot, saying thanks every time they saw me. Wherever I did, make the difference and I’m glad to help them. We know that the movement of big groups is slow, this one was particularly slow, but I saw it as learning experience and tolerance to others that need to learn a little bit more to act as part of the group. Is not all about what I want to do, nevertheless, we ended up with a big smile a new friends. Kudos to Claudia, she was driving the light blue FJ40, with manual steering over those rocks.

that was some excellent spotting you did  thanks for helping out

I didn't take any pics, I was too busy :o :steer:

Thanks Claudia,

Is really hard to teach your own friends… but not impossible…
Cathead was desperate, he wants to leave and do stuff by himself, so my work was to teach him how to be patient, what stuff he could do while waiting and stuff… enjoy the scenario, take pictures, chat with your neighbor, there are thousands of way to kill time…
He was stuck as well, and his strap has not handy, but he needs to learn the hard way… doing the mistakes… same with shackles, they were so tie that no one can release them…

Mkay. Not so 'live from CM' anymore.
More like 'not so alive' from Baton Rouge again...

We started the Copper State Cruiser / BC Coastal Cruiser runs south of Blanding UT; this is on the back road into Blanding.

Good thing I always stay in the back, right...:hillbilly:

Can you say frame flex?

I guess I should mention some weird breakage: I was coming off a ledge, didn't pay enough attention, hit the ledge with the rear bumper, and then the mirror fell off the windshield...:wrench::hillbilly:

We missed the official TipToe Behind the Rocks run; Claudia was getting her truck fixed at Moab 4x4 Outpost, while I was hunting for a spare tire - I had cut the sidewall on the way out from Spike...
So we had a late start. I have a disturbed relationship with Behind the Rocks after a near-roll climbing High Dive six () years ago...

White Rim on Saturday; long but epic day; I'm going to close with just one (of about 200...) photos... that's Brittan across the canyon.

Thanks to the CruiseMoab organizers, it was yet another awesome event. I don't know anyone who did not have a good time. Furthermore, thanks to all my Cruiser friends who let me tag along; it's not just the red rock scenery and the awesome 'wheeling that makes these Southern Utah / Moab trips so memorable, it's the people on the trails. I feel truly fortunate to have such great company on these travels with the Copper State Cruisers gang, the growing crew from BC, but first and foremost, my lovely wife Claudia.

By the way, Claudia: I'd feel a lot better if you would promise me to keep at least three tires on the ground at all times...:grinpimp:

So. Both trucks are not really worse for wear, although a little PM and TLC is needed. When do we go again? :D

Definitely a few good days on the trail.

Here are a few shots from Hell's Revenge on Saturday. Kurt did a great job leading the trail and listening to the Tim's(?) diesel 70 idle through the day was a nice bonus.
