License plate lights and dome lights not working

Can someone with more neurons than me walk me through to figure out how to trouble shoot license plate and dome lights not working?? My blinkers, parking and reverse lights work.

Usually it's a corroded ground connection at the light fixture. The quick test is, hook a gator clip to the fixture and then touch the other end to a bolt fastened to your tub. Sometimes it helps to run a tap through the Tub bolts. Sometimes the light bulb sockets need scuffed. If you are using old bulbs, scuff them too. I use a micro round file to scuff the female terminals and fine emory to lightly scuff the male bullet connectors.

I also like the ground. The ground on my one license plate ground was bad and was creating an intermittent failure. Good luck
