did a search and didn't see anything, so i'm kinda betting no one's dealt with this.

on the earlier lp lights, does anyone know what kind of glue holds the lense in, or how to strip it out without damaging the housing/chrome?

i've got two lamps, one with a crappy housing, but it has a lens, one with no lens, but a good housing. so i got the lens out of the bad housing and so far, i think i've scraped all the old glass chunks from the good one, i just dont think the other lens will seat well with the old glue in the way.

I'm dealing with the same issue now, too. I was going to use a small wire brush and spend a couple of hours of love on it. I have two good lenses, but the housings are sad. Is the rubber mount unobtaniun?
