Browsing some euro sales forum and came across a few rigs, all high milage and big dollars.
BJ71 very cool.webp
BJ74 with intercooler.webp
BJ75 RED.webp

the black one is either a LJ or a KZJ... the front clip gives it away.
the green is a short wheel base 70 or 71 (no removable top)

Rob, you're 0 for 3

The 75 is too new for a 3B. Prolly HZJ75
Same story for the SWB

"loadbay"...cool, learned a new term today.
"box, bed, tray, loadbay" any others out there?

Hey guys, was just going off the listings, thought the pickup was not correct, misse the LJ tho.

actually it is fun and challenging to stick a photo up and try and figure out what it is...

What loadbay is on the red 75 pick up? It looks like a landrover loadbay

I noticed that too. I thought it looked like a 40 series box but its too wide. Rover would be a good guess.

Couple more for fun

Are you intentionally making them smaller and smaller so we can't beat on you? :p

Without my reading glasses, I think the one on the left is a VW microbus running over a rabbit and the one on the right is an image of a Canadian postage stamp with QEII on it. My, she has big ears.

Har har har,,,,

Hey Bruce, lot off topic but are using fifth gear much with those tires your running?

We call them well bodies in WA. It looks like a landrover well body to me also ;)

It depends on the boost. At 15 PSI I use fifth all the time, at 8 PSI I stay in fourth or the EGTs get too high. I go back and forth between the two simply by disconnecting the waste gate. Unfortunately with it disconnected the intake shutter closes at higher revs under boost. That sucks on on-ramps and in mudholes so I reconnect it for commuting and wheeling. It would be ever so helpful if I could lay my eyes on a BJ74 wiring diagram.

Scratching head and thinking hard why the shutter closes, due to boost or something electrical?

So a 73 with turbo should do well with 37s?

Pic heading is hzj74 2000

I've done a bit of scratching myself.

It does it at high revs on most big tired BJ74s even with stock boost. When overboosted it does it sometimes below 3000RPM. I figured it was just blowing the shudder closed and it has some adjustment so I adjusted it all over the place. No change. Then I disconnected the vac hose to the shudder... fixed. It doesn't close without vacuum. I proved the point by driving all around town at 19 PSI and 4000 RPM, even got over 135 KPH on the highway before the Pyro said to settle down. It has to be something electrical or maybe a leaky VSV.

a HZJ turn 37s? easy if the turbo is the right application... the HZ runs nice at 2200 rpm but can rev to 4700 when breathing right...

i was thinking he was talking a turbo BJ73...
